Everyone loves an on-set couple — and those duos are no exception! Mindy Kaling, B.J. Novak, Hilarie Burton and Sophia Bush are simply some of the stars who went from costars to best friends in actual existence.
Michelle Williams and Busy Philipps, for example, met whilst filming Dawson’s Creek. The Oscar nominee starred as Jen Lindley throughout the collection’ run from 1998 to 2003, whilst the Cougar Town alum joined in season Five as Audrey Liddell.
Philipps described their connection in Entertainment Weekly’s Dawson’s Creek reunion duvet tale in March 2018. “It was like, you realize, how people say love in the beginning sight? We had that thing,” she explained. “We had that good friend connection. It was just a direct: ‘Of direction we’re drinking wine and smoking cigarettes and getting in bar fights.’ [Laughs] We simply had an immediate love for each other that’s continued over time.”
Burton, meanwhile, revealed in May 2020 that her friendship with Bush was not all the time simple. “I thought the story line between [One Tree Hill characters] Peyton and Brooke used to be the love story of the display. The love tales with all the boys, the ones had been a laugh, the ones were essential, however Sophia and I had to fight for our own friendship,” she stated at the “Chicks in the Office” podcast. “A lot of other people wanted to pit us towards each and every other.
