Chicago Fires Kara Killmer Reflects on Sylvie Brett Farewell Episode

The Windy City gained’t be the same with out Chicago Fire’s Kara Killmer, however she isn’t taking her journey on the display as a right.

During the episode, Brett finally got to marry the love of her life, Matt Casey (Jesse Spencer). While the wedding didn’t cross off with no hitch — Brett was held at gunpoint ahead of tying the knot at a fish store — lovers did see the couple turn into husband and wife.

Following the Brettsey nuptials, the Chicago Fire forged shared several tributes to Killmer referring to her last episode.

“It’s been an absolute pleasure operating with you @karakillmer,” Spencer, who exited the firefighter drama after 10 seasons in 2021, wrote via X on Wednesday. He shared a photo of his return for the marriage episode along a pic of Killmer right through her first few seasons.

Spencer, 45, added: “You are a student and a professional. Thank you for the nice times and dangerous. Your presence at this ol’ firehouse will probably be missed. Happy marriage ceremony day!!”

The remainder of the cast filmed a goodbye video for Killmer, which the display shared via its professional Instagram account.

In the clip, David Eigenberg, who plays Christopher Hermann, stated, “We’re going to miss you, like, you’re going to break our [middle],” before making a hand middle on set with Daniel Kyri, who plays Darren Ritter.

“We love you Kara,” Kyri, 29, chimed in. The camera then switched to turn Killmer’s ambulance spouse Hanako Greensmith, who portrays Violet Mikami, and added, “I love you, Kara.”

Jake Lockett, who joined the cast as Sam Carver in season 11, praised his “fellow Texan” for being “really some of the nicest other folks I’ve ever met.” He added, “We love you and we’re excited for you.”

Christian Stolte, who has been enjoying Randall “Mouch” McHolland since the 2012 premiere, gushed about Killmer as well.

“What I truly don’t want to do at the moment is say goodbye to my sweet, sensible, proficient buddy Kara Killmer,” he confessed. “It has been a gift to paintings with you some of these years. … I can miss you.”
