After Dick Van Dyke misplaced his long-time spouse Michelle Triola Marvin after 35 years together, he found any other probability at romance with Arlene Silver.
The Mary Poppins star met his long term wife when attending the thirteenth annual SAG awards in January 2007. Silver used to be running the awards show as a make-up artist. Upon their first meeting, the previous esthetician wasn’t acquainted with Van Dyke’s previous projects.
“I be mindful seeing Dick on the catering table together with his bow tie and his large smile. Right once I sat down, he was sitting subsequent to me. He mentioned, ‘Hi, I’m Dick.’ The very first thing I requested him was once, ‘Weren’t you in Mary Poppins?’ I wasn’t positive,” she confessed to the Huffington Post in October 2013. “I knew who he was however I wasn’t certain why I knew who he used to be. The twosome, who have a 46-year age difference, take to each other and Van Dyke went on to hire her for other projects he was once working on on the time. The pair’s connection wouldn’t turn romantic until years later.

In February 2012, the couple tied the knot on Leap Day in a private rite in Malibu. At the time in their marriage ceremony, Van Dyke was once 86 and Silver was 40. The Chitty Chitty Bang Bang famous person, for his phase, was up to now married to Margerie Willett from 1948 to 1976. The duo shared four children: Christian, Barry, Stacy and Carrie Beth. Willet died in 2008.
