
Though Elvis Presley and Priscilla Presley’s marriage only lasted six years, the pair had a connection unlike some other.
“The starting [of our marriage] used to be very difficult, but I knew what I used to be in for because I saw it at an excessively younger age,” the New York native instructed the Daily Mail in March 2022. “I came upon how vicious other people could be. There had been rumors I used to be pregnant, and that’s why he were given married and I’m going, ‘Oh, my God, this is not gonna be just right for me.’ That’s after I began no longer studying papers anymore or [magazines] in the grocery shops.”
After the pair welcomed their daughter, Lisa Marie Presley, in February 1968, they eventually went their separate ways amid alleged extramarital affairs on either side. Elvis and Priscilla formally separated in 1972 and finalized their divorce the following year. In 1977, Elvis died at the age of 42.
Since his death, two movies had been made in regards to the track business’s mythical power duo. Director Baz Luhrmann tailored Elvis’ lifestyles story into a biopic starring Austin Butler, Elvis, which used to be launched in June 2022. The following 12 months, Priscilla’s story was once instructed in Priscilla, Sofia Coppola‘s adaptation of Priscilla’s memoir, Elvis and Me.
