Emily Ratajkowski is telling her tale. In her new guide, My Body, the actress and model reportedly opens up about her experience filming Robin Thicke‘s “Blurred Lines” song video in 2013, all through which she was one in every of 3 half-naked models.
While the actress, 33, notes that she loved filming with the all-female workforce, she explains issues modified when she used to be alone with the singer, 44.

The music video and song were met with backlash following its release, despite the “Lost Without You” singer earning two Grammy nominations.
“We had no unfavorable intentions after we made the document, when we made the video,” Thicke said all over an interview with the New York Post in February. “But then it did open up a conversation that wanted to be had. And it doesn’t topic what your intentions have been while you wrote the music … the folk had been being negatively suffering from it. And I believe now, clearly, tradition, society has moved into a completely different place. You received’t see me making any movies like that ever again!”
Pharrell Williams, who produced the music, later admitted he’s “embarrassed” via the hit.
“My mind opened as much as what was once if truth be told being stated within the track and the way it might make any person feel. Even although it wasn’t the majority, it didn’t subject. I cared what they have been feeling too,” the rapper, 48, told GQ magazine in 2019. “I noticed that we live in a chauvinist tradition in our country. … [I] didn’t realize that a few of my songs catered to that.”
