The final result of Dancing With the Stars’ season 27 finale came as a surprise to many viewers — together with mirrorball trophy champs Bobby Bones and Sharna Burgess themselves!
“We are just a little stunned,” the country radio persona, 38, told Us Weekly solely after being topped the winner. “When they mentioned our name, we had to take a look at each different for a 2d [because] we thought they had been simply pronouncing everyone’s title once more.”
Bones and Burgess, 33, who never scored upper than a 24 out of 30, defeated finalists Milo Manheim and Witney Carson, Evanna Lynch and Keo Motsepe, and Alexis Ren and Alan Bersten. Disney Channel megastar Manheim, 17, was once a favourite on social media, but Bones’ fan base in the end pulled thru with the votes.
“I believe most of the people are shocked that we won. The individuals who voted aren’t as a result of they're the ones who kept us in and they are the ones who made this happen for us, however she [Burgess] is the one who made this occur for me,” the Bobby Bones Show host informed Us.
“I showed up with no dancing experience and I apologized so many instances when we began for her getting caught with me because I felt unhealthy for her. She is excellent,” he continued. “There have been occasions the place I couldn’t comprehend the smallest things. To have a spouse that depended on me and didn’t get annoyed after I wasn’t excellent, that claims so much for her.”
