On September 29, 1998, The WB launched a new drama titled Felicity, following fresh high school graduate Felicity Porter (portrayed by Keri Russell) thru her school life in New York City, across the country from her home in California. The series, which also starred Scott Speedman, Amy Jo Johnson, Tangi Miller, Scott Foley, Greg Grunberg and Amanda Foreman, aired for 4 seasons, following the group in the course of the 4 years of faculty.
The display, which aired until May 2002, marked the primary TV display for J.J. Abrams, as he cocreated the collection with Matt Reeves.
In 2018, the cast reunited at the ATX TV Festival in Austin, Texas, and Russell printed that she understands why the show is timeless, still touching fanatics years later.
“The wonderful thing about the show, as always, this really simple idea that I feel may be very relatable. This romantic idea … that numerous occasions when you’re younger of this opportunity to modify your life totally,” she mentioned at the time. “Everyone can glance back on that one moment: I want I would have selected him or taken that chance. “I used to be with my girlfriends at some lake and I got this phone name … and [Abrams] stated, ‘Hey, we were given your image, would you really reduce your hair?’ And I said ‘I assume.’ They mentioned it was an ordinary faculty girl’s tale: a guy breaks up along with her and the girl cuts her hair and it’s bad. I cherished it. It used to be any such excellent storyline,” she stated at the panel. “And I believe the item that was once so surprising to me about the reaction … is that Felicity was once never a way plate anyway. … I used to be wearing saggy garments and so I didn’t think everyone cared such a lot about the way I seemed. … It wasn’t the most efficient, however it used to be so just right for the character it didn’t matter.”
