Sandra Mason made the tough decision to skip her daughter’s wedding day for The Golden Bachelor, and he or she doesn’t remorseful about it.
“My son-in-law mentioned to me, ‘Mom, the ceremony is 8 minutes. The marriage is without end.’ He stated, ‘Go. Go!’ My daughter, she mentioned, ‘Mom, I found my guy, you cross find yours,’” Sandra, 75, informed Entertainment Tonight in an interview revealed on Friday, October 27. “They had been both slightly perturbed that I used to be even making an allowance for no longer going because of their wedding. They’d every been married ahead of. She’s almost 51, he’s 53.”
Sandra was considered one of Gerry Turner’s contestants on season 1 of The Golden Bachelor. During the October 18 episode, she revealed that the group date — which saw the women compete in a pickleball match — took place on her daughter’s wedding day.
After the competition ended, Sandra explained the day’s significance while chatting with Gerry, 72. “I think very flattered, but that’s a big event,” he mentioned sooner than pulling out an iPhone to FaceTime the newlyweds.
Sandra later profusely thanked Gerry for arranging the decision and gushed about him further by the use of confessional.
“That was so sweet of him,” she added. “He’s all the time full of these sweet surprises and he’s so thoughtful. This man is something different.”
While Sandra was once given the gang date rose for her sacrifice, she was once eliminated from the competition the next week.
“He didn’t choose me,” Sandra noted to ET about Gerry. “Obviously, his connections with my other sister wives used to be just a bit deeper, stronger, extra starry-eyed than my dating with him. He followed his middle. Great man. We were given alongside, nevertheless it didn’t develop into love on his phase.”
Gerry’s final three are Theresa Nist, Leslie Fhima and Faith Martin — and he later confirmed to Us Weekly that he did fall in love with more than one individual at the show.
