Match made in heaven! Ben and Erin Napier had a love story worthy of a tv show long earlier than they started showing on HGTV.
The Home Town stars met when they were both students at Jones County Junior College in Mississippi. The couple began relationship in December 2004 and briefly made up our minds that that they had discovered The One.
“On December 7, 2004 [Ben] and I met in our faculty yearbook room concerning the characteristic tale we had been writing about him,” Erin recalled by the use of Instagram in December 2019. “I used to be the design editor and for 2 years had spotted him, at all times the center of attention, everybody’s perfect good friend, my largest crush. December 8, we took the pictures for the yearbook. December 9, we went on our first date and he met my mama. December 10, we regarded at the Christmas lighting in Mason Park. December 13, we decided we might get married in the future. It sounds loopy to you, possibly. But it makes highest sense to me.”
Ben and Erin got engaged in September 2007 and tied the knot in November 2008. After renovating their home, the pair caught the eye of HGTV, who presented them a display. Home Town premiered in January 2016 and contours renovations of their homeland of Laurel, Mississippi.
Amid their good fortune, the TV personalities welcomed daughters Helen and Mae in January 2018 and May 2021, respectively. With parenthood, although, came grievance from web trolls.
“I normally have a rude comment from someone and I will be able to have a look at their profile and spot this can be a mom who has kids,” Erin completely informed Us Weekly in January 2021. “This is any other woman attacking me as a lady or a mother or whatever. I love initially: ‘You would absolutely now not speak to me this fashion in particular person. Why do you are feeling love it’s OK to do it here? It’s not. And this little nook of the web belongs to me so that you’re not welcome here anymore.’ … Anytime any person feels like they are able to be rude on my social media account, I’d like to let them know this isn’t an appropriate method to keep in touch and you’re now not going to be welcome here anymore, and I block them.”

Despite the naysayers, Ben and Erin have never misplaced sight of each other on their adventure to popularity. “It’s Erin and me,” he instructed CountryLiving.com in March 2017. “Not Erin and me and our mothers, now not Erin and me and the network, not Erin and me and our enthusiasts, if you wish to call them that. As some distance as our marriage is going, it’s me and Erin and God. We work the whole lot out together, and everything has worked out to this point.”
