Lance Bass thinks ‘NSync fans deserve a real reunion following their explosive — however temporary — return previous this 12 months.
“We have to get it proper this time, and unfortunately, ‘NSync had to go down in flames for that one,” Bass, 44, said in an interview with Entertainment Weekly published on Tuesday, November 7. “But we had so much fun, I don’t see this as our last item. Because of this strike, I feel like we owe it to the fans again to rectify this and do something else.”
‘NSync — which consists of Bass, Justin Timberlake, J.C. Chasez, Joey Fatone and Chris Kirkpatrick — reunited in September at the 2023 VMAs to present the Best Pop Award to Taylor Swift. Two days after the awards show, the gang announced that they had a new song, “Better Place,” shedding on the end of the month.
The single used to be ‘NSync’s first music after a 23-year hiatus and was once written for the movie Trolls Band Together, which stars Timberlake, 42, because the voice of Branch. However, the band may no longer promote the track due to the ongoing SAG-AFTRA strike.
“Even just doing the VMAs, I did not expect that many people to actually care, however it used to be nice to see,” Bass gushed on Tuesday. “Especially since we’re now not even able to mention the tune, the fact that it is at the radio and persons are streaming it like no different may be very special and displays how much love that our fans have and [the love] we've for our fans. We can’t thank them sufficient.”
While Bass is hopeful he and his bandmates can paintings together on something else at some point, they can’t make any plans until the strike is officially over. One factor Bass shared that he would really like to do with ‘NSync once more is to go on tour.

“We love to put on a show, that was once our favorite, favorite thing,” Bass mentioned. “We spent every dime that we made on our excursions — which, [in] hindsight, I most probably would’ve modified slightly bit — so I feel it can be a laugh to remind everyone what we do in our presentations.”
After hitting the VMAs stage, Bass and Fatone, 46, stuck up with Us Weekly to reflect on the reunion that had social media ablaze.

“It used to be an overly natural factor. The final 23 years, we’ve all kind of mentioned maybe doing something right here, perhaps doing something there,” Bass solely told Us in September. “We did Coachella and we did the VMAs 10 years in the past, so it simply made sense at the moment.”
Fatone, in the meantime, shared that “Better Place” was “100 p.c” a love letter to the fans who have been by means of their aspect even after the crowd parted techniques in the early 2000s.
“It was once just a kind of issues, like, ‘Wow, OK, we’re doing this.’ So we're simply more than pleased to see what happens,” Fatone instructed Us. “I mean, once more, it’s been 25 years since we in point of fact put something or anything out there. So just to be able to be in the studio in combination [and] have these vibes, it’s in point of fact cool.”
