William Daniels shared footage of an impromptu Boy Meets World cast reunion on Saturday, June 1.
The actor, higher recognized through many as his BMW character Mr. Feeny, shared photographs of an apparent celebration via X. In the pictures, Daniels smiled along his wife, Bonnie Bartlett, and previous costars Danielle Fishel, Rider Strong and Will Friedle.
“Just slightly reunion with my favorite students!!” he captioned the pictures.
It’s some distance from the primary time these actors have gotten together since ABC’s Boy Meets World wrapped in 2000 after seven seasons. Fishel, Strong and Friedle cohost a rewatch podcast of the sitcom known as “Pod Meets World,” a challenge they began in 2022.
Daniels, 97, appeared on an early episode of the pod, where he revealed to the trio of hosts that he nearly walked away from one among his most iconic roles. He said that he needed to be reassured by means of Boy Meets World showrunner Michael Jacobs that the character of Mr. Feeny would be treated with recognize.
“I mentioned ‘Well, that’s a funny title and I don’t need to make a laugh of lecturers. I admire them they usually’re unpaid and all that,’” Daniels recalled on the July 2022 episode. “Then [Jacobs] instructed me what my function was once in keeping with, which used to be a mentor of his when he was once in high school… I used to be afraid [Feeny] would be the butt of the comic story [but then] I noticed the plot would be written with respect.”
Boy Meets World lead Ben Savage used to be notably absent from the photos shared by means of Daniels. That, too, is not anything new. Friedle, 47, shared in 2023 that Savage stopped chatting with him several years prior.
“He disappeared — I wish I knew why, to at the present time,” Friedle told Variety. “We didn’t have a combat. There’s no falling out. There was once no animosity. He simply aroused from sleep sooner or later, and decided ‘I don’t want this particular person in my existence anymore.’”

Friedle mentioned he called Savage, 43, again and again, refusing to be iced out by any person he had identified since he was once eleven years outdated. He shared, “I tried and tried and tried for months, till in the end my spouse used to be like, ‘Why are you doing this to yourself? He clearly doesn’t want you in his existence.’”
Even so, the forged has been hesitant to speak in poor health of Savage. When Fishel praised her castmates all through a big panel of former Boy Meets World stars at a ‘90s convention in Tampa remaining year, some noticed it as a dig at Savage, the notably absent solid member.
