Partners in crime! Nicole Richie and Joel Madden have stood by way of every other’s facet through thick and skinny over the path in their courting.
The duo started dating in December 2006 after the Good Charlotte lead singer turned on the charm for Richie.
“When I first would see her around, we had been friends,” Madden advised Australia’s 60 Minutes in April 2013. ”But I don’t assume I’m the most obvious selection. I’m all the time like, ‘Just give me a shot. Just give me one date.’ If I can get my foot in the door …”
Two years later, the Simple Life alum and Madden welcomed their daughter, Harlow, followed by way of their son, Sparrow, in 2009. The couple introduced their engagement in February 2010 and tied the knot in December of that 12 months.
The Great News alum admitted in March 2012 that she and the Maryland native were “polar opposites” when they first got in combination.
“He’s very family-oriented,” Richie, who's the eldest daughter of Lionel Richie, told Ocean Drive Magazine. “He grew up with four brothers and sisters. When we met, I used to be unquestionably going thru a difficult time with my relatives, and having him have any such sturdy basis truly opened the doorways and brought both of our households in combination.”
The California native informed Us Weekly in September 2019 that having fun is the foundation of their successful relationship.
“I don’t know [if there’s] a secret [to it], as opposed to we love to snort and have fun,” Nicole defined at the time. “It’s nice doing the adventure of existence together. Doing it with anyone else that has the similar targets as you is a truly a laugh method to reside.”
She also gushed to Us that Madden is “the most supportive.”
One of the duo’s not unusual goals is to instill excellent values in their youngsters. “I believe we just need to inspire youngsters to be themselves and to rise up for what they consider in and to get up for one thing,” Nicole famous.
Nicole is so lucky in love that she decided to spread the love. She printed in July 2014 that she set up Cameron Diaz with Madden’s dual brother, Benji Madden.
“I’m going to take duty for everything!” she said on Watch What Happens Live With Andy Cohen. “I'm a faithful sister-in-law. I’m happy for anyone who is happy, and I would like everybody to be surrounded with love.”
