Balfe continued at the time: “We talked a lot about, ‘What would Claire’s life were like if she hadn’t long gone through the stones?’ … I strongly consider she wouldn’t had been glad if they'd moved to Oxford and he had taken up his educating post and he or she had been this stay-at-home spouse, who had a hobby on the aspect. “As an actor, it was such a great story line. It gave me and the persona a dramatic decision to make,” Heughan told Elle in May 2020 about his 5th season journey. “I had numerous affect with the symbolism of the redcoat.
