Puppy Bowl “rufferee” Dan Schachner is in a position for the Sunday, February 11, giant game to be the “puppiest Puppy Bowl ever.”

Schachner has been the primary referee — affectionately referred to as the “rufferee” — for 13 years.

Schachner’s work at the Puppy Bowl gridiron even impressed him to develop into a dog proprietor.

In addition to Mr. Miraculous, there are a number of Puppy Bowl doggies named after athletes competing in the 2024 Super Bowl. (The Kansas City Chiefs and the San Francisco 49ers will play in Super Bowl LVIII on Sunday.)
“Look out for Bark Purdy, as a result of he does have a human namesake, but I believe like this man’s slightly extra athletic and definitely cuter,” Schachner said, referring to 49ers quarterback Brock Purdy. “No offense to the other one, you’re lovely too. I would [additionally] look out for Snack Prescott. I'd look out for Jared Wolf. I'd glance out for Patrick Mabones.”
The Puppy Bowl will also function its largest dog yet: a 72-pound Great Dane named Levi.
