RHOA's Kandi Burruss, Todd Tucker Break Their Silence on Divorce Rumors

Kandi Burruss and Todd Tucker broke their silence about rumors that they're heading for a divorce.

During an unique interview with Us Weekly about their Broadway revival of The Wiz, Burruss, 47, recalled learning concerning the blind merchandise from her 21-year-old daughter Riley, whom she shares with ex Russell Spencer.

“Riley in truth sent it to me. She was once like, ‘Why do folks keep announcing that y’all about to get divorced?’ I used to be like, ‘I don’t know,'” Burruss mentioned during a joint interview with Tucker, 50.

Burruss had a theory about what caused the speculation, including, “I feel it got here from Todd and I on his YouTube. We were doing this thing known as Todd and the Glam Squad the place I would get my hair and makeup done [and] he would take a seat and we'd talk about scorching subjects or relationship issues.”

While discussing the collaboration, Tucker noted that he and Burruss are excellent at debating topics. The couple have since puzzled whether viewers have been not able to inform the difference between everyday conversations and serious marriage woes.

“We’re passionate once we cross from side to side. I feel folks more or less mistook that to say we had been indignant with every different. But we’re [simply] debating the subject. We’re going backward and forward about this,” Burruss defined. “I’ve been like that my complete existence. As quickly as we've got a back and forth, I can walk out the room and be like, ‘OK, now what are we doing subsequent?’ Whereas I assume to any individual that’s staring at it, they are considering that it’s more than that.”

Tucker, who shares son Ace, 7, and daughter Blaze, 3, with Burruss, agreed together with his spouse.

“They’re inspecting [it like], ‘Wow, he said this.’ Or his posture.’ You know the way they do,” Tucker, who also shares 27-year-old daughter Kaela with an ex, added. “But it was once just good, a laugh dialog and people simply took it fallacious. I was like, ‘We are with every different each day.’ It’s no longer like, ‘I haven’t seen him together. His ring isn’t on or one thing.'”

In reaction, Burruss pointed out that she is in reality the one who incessantly doesn’t wear her ring, announcing, “Today I do. But they’ll be like, ‘Why doesn’t she have on her ring?’ I hardly ever have it on. He at all times has his on. If he doesn’t have it on — then it’s going to be an issue. That’s going to be a problem.”

The pair, who wed in 2014 (Tucker was on the crew of RHOA), check out to not worry themselves with hypothesis about their courting. Tucker, alternatively, famous that it may be laborious to dam out the noise.

Burruss and Tucker don’t simply collaborate on their marriage. The twosome have famously found good fortune mixing industry with pleasure over time — appearing on The Real Housewives of Atlanta, opening their Old Lady Gang eating place, generating Kandi & the Gang and more. Now, Burruss and Tucker are kicking it up a notch through becoming a member of the manufacturing team for The Wiz.

“We bounce ideas off every different in point of fact smartly every now and then. I feel I've just probably the most wonderful concepts. While producing the Broadway revival of The Wiz, it was essential for Burruss and Tucker to carry the Black narrative to the stage for a fresh take on the tale. The Wiz, which premiered on April 17, stars Wayne Brady, Deborah Cox and Nichelle Lewis.

“It was once my favourite musical of all time,” Burruss mentioned of the display, a take on the Wizard of Oz, which first premiered on Broadway in 1903. “[It is] a vintage. And we were given to turn like to our generating spouse Brian Moreland as a result of he was like, ‘Hey, what do you guys think about bringing again The Wiz?; And I used to be like, ‘I’m in. Let’s make it happen.'”

Burruss mentioned how working on the degree manufacturing took her back to her youth. “I noticed the film model [with Diana Ross and Michael Jackson] when I used to be younger so I just used to observe it over and over again and over,” she persevered. “I knew each and every tune. I knew every transfer. It used to be that musical for me.”

Tucker also called the collaboration a “no brainer,” adding, “From the song, the costumes to simply the entire story. It’s a vintage. … My mother in truth took me to the unique. I was real little so I don’t have in mind everything, but I remember it being a bit frightening back then. But then once the film got here out with Michael Jackson and Diana Ross, it’s roughly like, ‘Wow.'”

The duo also highlighted their imaginative and prescient, which focused on keeping the essence of the story while incorporating some changes.
