New kids on the block. The Real Housewives of New York City is getting a reboot with a cast of fresh faces for season 14, and Bravo in spite of everything confirmed the newbies will make their debut on Sunday, July 16, at 9 p.m. ET.
The cast for RHONY season 14 — Sai De Silva, Ubah Hassan, Erin Dana Lichy, Jessel Taank, Jenna Lyons and Brynn Whitfield — was once announced at BravoCon in October 2022.
Some of the newbies are lifelong New Yorkers. De Silva, 41, is a Brooklyn resident and artistic director of way of life corporate Scout the City. Lichy, 34, was once raised in Manhattan and now lives in Tribeca as she runs her residential renovation and design company, Homegirl.
Other new Housewives are more recent to the Big Apple. Hassan, 35, is firstly from Somalia, and the model made her way to Kenya and Canada ahead of touchdown in New York. Taank, 31, is a way publicist and emblem consultant of British-Indian descent.
Meanwhile, Whitfield, 36, used to be raised in a small midwestern the town sooner than webhosting dinner events in the West Village and making waves within the brand marketing box.
Born in Boston and raised in California, Lyons, 54, the former president of J. Crew (she left the corporate after 27 years in 2017), has lived in New York City for decades, hopping from Brooklyn to Tribeca to SoHo. She now serves as cofounder of the beauty brand LoveSeen.
One month after the cast announcement, matchmaker Lizzy Savetsky announced she was once not filming the sequence.
“I can now not be proceeding on The Real Housewives of NYC,” she wrote in a commentary on Instagram, explaining that as “a proud orthodox Jewish lady” she was hoping being a part of the series can be a chance to represent folks of her religion. “Unfortunately, from the time of my announcement within the cast, I used to be on the receiving finish of a torrent of antisemitic attacks. As this continued, I noticed that this path was no longer proper for me and my family.”
Prior to the announcement, producer Lisa Shannon weighed in on the new season right through the Ultimate Girls Trip panel. “The future of the New York franchise may be very brilliant,” Shannon stated whilst on degree at BravoCon in New York City. “There is a new cast, you'll be hearing about this new cast very quickly. The identical day Peacock confirmed RHONY alums Kelly Killoren Bensimon, Luann, Dorinda Medley, Sonja, Ramona and Kristen Taekman are set to megastar in season 5 of The Real Housewives Ultimate Girls Trip: RHONY Legacy, Bravo dropped the trailer for season 14 of RHONY starring the brand new cast.
“I’m a little bit bit like Elizabeth Taylor, I simply don’t actually go through with it,” Whitfield says in the teaser prior to she’s accused of flirting with a married guy.
In a sequence of different clips, the cast is at odds with Lyons.
