Selena Gomez is embracing this bankruptcy of her life.
“Part of me feels like I’m in any case at a good place with the entirety in my life,” Gomez, 31, instructed Rolling Stone in an interview printed on Monday, March 4.
The “Love On” singer famous that her new tune is coming “from a place of confidence” that’s showcasing the “pleasure and interest” she’s experiencing now. She added that she “hopes” her next album might be launched in 2024, but she’s unsure of the timeline. Gomez famous that she isn’t even positive her most recent singles will be part of her next album.
“I think objectively, I wish to say that I'm running in opposition to an album, but I don’t know if the ones songs could be on that venture,” she told Billboard in an interview printed on Monday. “I believe like I’m brewing, and I’m in the process of truly developing some nice songs, confidently. I don’t know if they'd fit with what I’m gonna go with.”
While Gomez made headlines in January for hinting that her next album could be her last, she clarified that she is probably not keen to say good-bye to song simply yet.
“I feel it’s natural for other people to take breaks, but I feel for me, there is a whole other side to my life, delight and pleasure,” Gomez told Rolling Stone. “I like film. I like TV. I simply really feel like I haven’t achieved a lot of the things that I want to do in that space. It’s no longer that it’s ‘no, never’ [to song], it’s more that I wish to explore that world a bit more and have the time to actually do this.”
Aside from her musical interests, Gomez has just lately begun filming the fourth season of Only Murders in the Building along Steve Martin and Martin Short, where she used to be nominated for a Golden Globe in 2023 and 2024.
Gomez famous that she’s excited about taking on other challenging acting endeavors, pronouncing, “I really like having the ability to take roles that I've to fight for, no longer the ones which are being handed to me. I’m going for the stuff that in reality, really evokes me.”
As smartly because the hit Hulu series, Gomez is confirmed to be joining a reboot of Wizards of Waverly Place and taking part in singer Linda Ronstadt in an upcoming biopic.

“I’m moving into any individual’s life, and that may be truly intimidating,” she said of the biopic. “But I’m beyond inspired through [Ronstadt], and I do know an excessive amount of about her at this point.”
As for her non-public life, Gomez went public with boyfriend Benny Blanco in December 2023 and the pair have been hanging their romance on full show ever since. In January, a source solely informed Us Weekly that she’s excited about this relationship.
“Selena has made it clear that she wants Benny by way of her side any more, and she’s proudly introducing him to everyone in her life,” the insider said. “They saved issues low-key [at first], however Benny has handed every check with flying colours. The new year seemed like a perfect time to actually shout [their love] from the rooftops, so that’s what Selena is doing.”
