
Purr-fect pets! Taylor Swift, Kate Beckinsale and more of Hollywood’s greatest stars have one severe obsession with their bushy tom cat pals.
The “Lover” singer hasn't ever been shy about her love for her pets, Meredith Grey and Olivia Benson, named after some of her favorite fictional characters. While talking with TIME in April 2019, the Grammy winner admitted that the “maximum influential factor” in her life is her cuddly kittens. “I have cats. I’m obsessed with them,” she said on the time. “They’re only a actual pleasure to live with. I really like my cats so much that after a role came up in a movie called Cats, I just thought, ‘I’ve were given to do that.'”
Though the 2019 film adaptation of the well-known Broadway musical didn’t make a major splash with viewers, Swift teased that operating at the movie used to be her “calling in existence” and said she jumped on the alternative to be informed “the right way to be as just like a cat as I in all probability could” with her costars.
Later that month, the Nashville native unfolded about how she came to undertake her third cat, Benjamin Button, on the set of a music video. “[They] passed me this tiny cat and he just begins purring and … he appears to be like at me like, ‘You’re my mother, and we’re going to live in combination.’ I fell in love. I checked out Brendon [Urie] and he’s like, ‘You’re going to get the cat aren’t you?'” she stated throughout an Instagram Live.
Despite their past “Bad Blood,” Swift’s obsession with kittens is something she has in not unusual with fellow cat lover Katy Perry. The “I Kissed a Girl” singer showed in April that her darling puppy Kitty Purry had passed away.
