From Bridgerton‘s Kate and Anthony to The Artful Dodger‘s Jack and Belle, fanatics have loved some pretty memorable sex scenes between their favorite TV couples through the years
The Netflix regency collection originally raised eyebrows with its numerous steamy moments between season 1 leads Daphne (Phoebe Dynevor) and Simon (Regé-Jean Page). Ahead of season 2, writer Chris Van Dusen published plans to pump the brakes on Bridgerton‘s graphic love scenes.
“It used to be never about amount for us,” he stated all over an interview in March 2022. “Our method to intimacy at the display in point of fact is equal to season 1. And we use these intimate scenes to tell a tale and to push the tale ahead. We’ve never done a sex scene for the sake of doing a sex scene, and I don’t assume we ever will. It all serves a bigger purpose and it’s a distinct tale this season. It’s other characters. We’re with Anthony (Jonathan Bailey) and Kate (Simone Ashley) maximum of the [second] season and that’s very different from Daphne and Simon. And that’s actually part of the draw to me of a challenge like this, the facility to inform these close-ended love stories of other characters season after season.”
Fans, alternatively, received an unexpected surprise when it came to Anthony and Kate’s minimal — but in addition meaningful — sex scenes. For Ashley, that specialize in emotional intimacy allowed the season 2 couple to build to something more physical.
