Let it live on its own deserves.”
Sheridan famous that he was once taking a look to introduce a “close-ended” finale that allowed him to explore new territory without returning to existing content material. “[It is a] peek through a unique window into a different technology. Again, I don’t think of any of those as spinoffs, however moderately as complete tales that have not unusual roots,” he added at the time. “My goal with the next one can be that it is advisable never have observed 1883 or Yellowstone, and still have an absolutely learned enjoy as a viewer.”
The manufacturer’s imaginative and prescient came alive not only for the audience — but for cast members as neatly. In March 2022, Elliot revealed that he wasn’t familiar with the Yellowstone franchise when he signed on for 1883.

We’re tainted by Yellowstone, which, on some stage, I will’t stand. Because I think 1883 stands alone and will.
