Former soap actor Corey Sligh was once convicted on one of two counts of child molestation in Georgia and is dealing with prosecution in Florida, according to local news outlet the Cherokee Tribune.
The 30-year-old — who seemed on CBS’s Young and the Restless — was once discovered guilty on one rely of molesting a child younger than 10 years outdated through a Cherokee County jury on June 28 while being cleared of every other rate.
Though he has now not yet been sentenced, district lawyer Shannon Wallace tells the Tribune that he faces 5 to two decades in prison on the legal conviction.
Chief assistant state attorney for Okaloosa County Florida, Bill Bishop, instructed the outlet that the one rely of lewd and lascivious molestation relating to the same girl — which he nonetheless faces in Florida — carries a sentence of 25 years to life in jail if he is charged.
The molestation via Sligh allegedly passed off in March 2016 and was reported through the child’s folks to Cherokee Sheriff’s Office detectives in September 2016.

Sligh was once arrested in October 2016 and charged with child molestation in his hometown of Canton, Georgia, at the time. He used to be released on a $22,000 bond that same day.
According to Sligh’s IMDb page, he most not too long ago wrote for a TV movie titled Single Shelley in 2013 and starred in a web series called All About Lizzie the earlier 12 months. He may be credited for his function as a “creepy hallway partygoer” in a 2008 drama movie titled God Is Dead.
